If you connect VGA to Monitor from your laptop, and VGA can not transmit audio, audio can only be connected through connecting the audio cable from the adapter to external speakers.

If you connect to display 2 monitors at the same time, please be well known that your all 2 external monitors will show the same images.
VGA and HDMI can connect at the same time, VGA and DP can connect at the same time, but HDMI and DP can not connect at the same time.
