This is the earliest variety for Brussels sprouts. Very flavorful variety that are medium green with smooth and large sprouts. Variety is vigorous and easy to grow for a diverse climate. You will find out how early they mature. This delicious brussels sprout also sets those little-cabbage-like morsels very early - within 90-100 days, so you can pick them without wearing earmuffs. Brussels sprouts always seem to be the last project in our garden and I have many memories of chipping them out of the ice. Churchill grows about 2 feet tall with a nice medium-green color. A chef we know in St. Louis, suggests just rinsing them, then frying in a pan or wok with oil and garlic at pretty high heat. Just delicious.
