The wood is planed at 7/8'x1' and it is very sturdy... not only for shipping but for it's final home:) Each order comes with a complimentary matching note card, and it is ready for immediate hanging. All of our work comes with hanging hardware for your convenience. We use a specialized nylon canvas blend that is waterproof. We then add several layers of a protective coating.
